Case study
South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SECAMB)
The Problem
SECAmb experienced bugs in key software: their CAD platform and softphone telephony solution. These issues were slowing down users. The supplier insisted on detailed reports - but users were busy, neither the time or skill to provide the quality of reporting needed.
The Solution
SECAMB discovered Rewind – it continuously records so that when a bug happens the team just rapidly deliver a perfect video report. This makes bug reporting by users fast, easy and accurate.
Continuous recording normally presents issues for GPDR and user privacy. Rewind addressed all of SECAMB ’s concerns: it was targeted at only recording specific problem apps, and it absolutely keeps all data on Trust computers.
Whilst the small file size of the recordings means issues are swiftly shared and reviewed with minimal impact to bandwidth.
The Result
We worked together to make sure SECAmb’s use case was tailored, integrating with their ticketing system. Rewind was deployed to a 400+ agile workforce.
By eliminating slow moving tech issues the result was increased productivity and happier staff. SECAmb also identified previously “unreplicable” bugs. As a result, suppliers have been able to provide permanent fixes and improve their fix rate.
